Entheogyn is Colorado's first licensed, vertically integrated psilocybin healing center, a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) dedicated to ethical stewardship, indigenous reciprocity, and the highest standards of care. We cultivate our own licensed psilocybin, host licensed facilitators, and offer a continuum of support from preparation through integration.
Yes. Colorado's Proposition 122, passed in 2022, legalized regulated psilocybin services for adults 21 and older. Entheogyn is fully licensed under the Natural Medicine Health Act (NMHA) and regulated by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). No medical diagnosis is required to enroll.
No referral is required. You do need to complete our clinical intake, which allows our facilitators to understand your health history, set intentions, and ensure you are a good candidate for psilocybin therapy. In some cases, you may be asked to consult with your doctor prior to a natural medicine session at Entheogyn, this is part of our commitment to a responsible, individualized process. Our process is thorough, not gatekeeping.
Any adult 21 or older may apply. During the intake process we review your health history, current medications, and mental health background. Certain contraindications, such as a personal or family history of psychosis or mania, or use of lithium, may affect eligibility. Our clinical team reviews each intake individually.
Individuals currently experiencing suicidality are not candidates for sessions at Entheogyn. While psilocybin may ultimately hold promise in this area, there is not yet sufficient data to support working with natural medicines in this population responsibly. Our first duty is to do no harm, and we will not move ahead of the evidence.
Individuals currently taking antidepressants, including SSRIs and SNRIs, are also not candidates at this time. Antidepressants are known to blunt the response to psilocybin, typically requiring doses higher than the regulated model in Colorado allows, which can mean little to no experience on the medicine. This applies as well to those who have recently come off antidepressants, as blunted response can persist for some time after discontinuation. We encourage anyone in this situation to speak with their prescribing physician and to stay in touch with us as their situation evolves.
Entheogyn hosts licensed facilitators, we do not employ them. Each facilitator is independently licensed under Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act and maintains their own professional standing. We provide the space, the medicine, the clinical infrastructure, and the ethical framework; they bring their training, their presence, and their practice.
Every journey includes three phases: preparation (1–2 sessions where you meet your facilitator, set intentions, and review safety protocols), the journey session itself (a supported experience lasting 4–8 hours in our healing space), and integration (1+ sessions to process, reflect, and weave insights into daily life). The first integration session is included at no additional charge.
Most clients complete preparation over one to two weeks, attend a single journey session, and then integrate over the following weeks. The full arc, from first contact to final integration, typically spans four to eight weeks depending on your pace and needs.
Integration is the work of translating what arose during your journey into lasting change. Research consistently shows that what happens after a psilocybin experience determines much of its long-term benefit. Your facilitator will support you in making meaning of the experience and building practices that sustain the insight.
No. A licensed facilitator is present with you throughout the entire journey session. Their role is to hold a safe, non-directive container, offering grounded presence, support, and gentle guidance if needed. They do not direct your experience.
Psilocybin affects everyone differently. Many people report heightened emotions, vivid imagery, shifts in perception of time, and profound introspective experiences. Some journeys are deeply peaceful; others may be emotionally challenging. Your facilitator is trained to support the full range. Difficult moments are often the most meaningful.
It depends on the medication. SSRIs and SNRIs may reduce the effects of psilocybin. Lithium is contraindicated. MAOIs carry serious risks in combination. Our intake process reviews your full medication list and our clinical team will advise accordingly. We never recommend stopping prescribed medication without your prescribing physician's involvement.
Many of our clients come specifically because of trauma, depression, anxiety, or other mental health challenges. Psilocybin therapy has shown particular promise in these areas. We do conduct careful screening to ensure we can support you safely, and our facilitators are trained in trauma-informed care. A history of psychosis or mania, however, is a contraindication.
Psilocybin has a well-established safety profile and is physiologically non-toxic at therapeutic doses. It is not physically addictive. The primary risks are psychological, which is why set, setting, and skilled facilitation matter so much. Our space and team are designed to minimize risk and maximize support.
